LIMESTONE

Limestone is a calcareous natural stone that is composed of at least 50% calcium carbonate in the form of calcite by weight. It can contain other minerals as well but it is made up of mostly calcite. Here are some of the components that can be in limestone: CaCO3 (Calcium Carbonate, Natural limestone originally deposits in shallow sea beds and the color ranges from white, yellow and gray to blue, beige, and cream. While the limestone color matters in the overall appearance of the stone, so do the finish place on the stone.

Uses of limestone

  • It is used in the production of cement by heating powdered limestone with clay. …
  • It is a major ingredient in toothpaste.

BLACK STONE

If you have your heart set on sandstone but a more contemporary finish is desired, look no further than Smooth Natural Sandstone. These stones exhibit similar levels of variation but have sawn edges and a honed surface profile to provide a modern finish with clean lines. The Black Stone is one of the stones of the Ka `bah. Its significance is that it is the only surviving stone from the original structure built by Abraham and Ishmael (peace be upon them both). However, the price of the stone depends on the size and thickness of the stone. Also, the price fluctuates as per the quality of the stone. Kota Stone is a naturally available, fine-grained variety of limestone originated from Kota, Rajasthan. YELLOW LIMESTONE

RAJ GREEN SANDSTONE

Raj Green Sandstone is a mix of light green tones with hints of brown, buff & plum-colored Sandstone. DHOLPUR SANDSTONE

RAINFOREST SANDSTONE

Obtained from a quarry in the village of Bidasar, Churu District in Rajasthan, India, rain forest marble is basically used in the form of tiles, blocks, and slabs. It is quite clear that the veining pattern of the stone and color is the central attraction of this stone. But both may vary from one shipment to another.

Rainforest Brown Marble is an exotic stone consisting of shades of brown and gray with unique deep reddish-brown and white veining that evoke images of tree branches. This marble is abundantly used in bathrooms, entryways, fireplaces, gardens, and living and dining areas.

Rain Forest Green is quarried from a bedrock quarry in India. Sidenote: Rain Forest Green is not technically a marble, it’s a Serpentinite. Serpentinite is a rock composed predominantly of one or more serpentine minerals.

Rainforest green is most often sold as “marble”, but is actually a “serpentine”, which looks like marble, but is not as susceptible to etching (chemical corrosion from acidic/alkaline substances) as a typical marble countertop is.
